Dear Parents and Carers
My weekly message this week consists of two key items.
Firstly, please take a few moments to read our Term 2 Newsletter. This can be found here:
It contains lots of information that I would be grateful for you reviewing with your child.
Secondly, I would like to say a huge “thank you” to all of our community – staff, students, parents, carers and friends – for all of your efforts during this Autumn Term. It has been a challenging term to say the least, but I am pleased that we have arrived at this point and have a well deserved break ahead of us.
Finally, although the final details about Christmas are still settling (even today there has been another announcement about a possible delayed return in January!) we can all at least go into this break in the hope that the vaccine rollout will hopefully bring a much greater sense of normality as we move into 2021. There are plans for all secondary schools to have a mass testing programme implemented in the New Year. Again, this will help us ensure better continuity for all students and staff and ensure education can continue uninterrupted – a priority for all of us, I am sure you will agree.
I hope you are able to find time to rest, reflect and refresh yourselves over the next couple of weeks.
We look forward to working with you again in 2021.
John Cornish, Principal
