Dear Parents and Carers…welcome to the weekly roundup for All Saints.
The coronavirus situation clearly continues to dominate national and international news headlines. As you will be aware by now, our position is to remain open and follow all of the relevant government advice. Please do take a moment to read the letter from Ambitions Academies Trust CEO Sian Thomas in our letters section
Outside of Covid-19 related stories, it has been a great week for students. We have enjoyed lots of events for Sports Relief this week with a Teachers Challenge at breaktime, a sponsored 10 mile run and a non-uniform day! We have raised just over £500 for Sports Relief and had fun in the process – well done and thank you!
Year 9 have had the chance to work on an Employability Skills Masterclass delivered by Bournemouth Uni which was really well received and gave lots of food for thought. Year 7 also beat Budmouth at Basketball 37 -7 … great work Year 7! I also congratulated and thanked a number of “Students of the Week” for a whole range of fantastic reasons – all line with our vision about wisdom, community and service.
Thank you for the engagement with the votes on uniform and final vision wording – please keep voting until the deadlines using the links under the parents section. I also wrote to parents and carers earlier this week to confirm students can carry their bags with them. I hope this is helpful and will have a real impact in improving timekeeping – this is a focus for us at the moment.
Please do check out our Facebook and Twitter Feeds to see images and posts of all of the above (links are on the front of the website!)
I trust you enjoy a restful weekend and will join with me in praying for all of fantastic NHS workers at this time
With best wishes
John Cornish
