On Thursday 5th March half of Year 9 came off their usual timetable to spend a day in the hall for an Employability Skills Masterclass delivered by Young Enterprise, funded by Bournemouth University.
The Employability Masterclass provides an opportunity for pupils to learn from local employers and employees about the skills and qualities that are required to be successful in the workplace. Pupils looked at how they can describe their own personal strengths and how to showcase their skills to potential employers. Throughout the day, Year 9s worked alongside volunteers from the world of work who shared their own experiences as recruiters and job hunters.
The remaining Year 9s will be receiving the same this week.
Thank you very much to Young Enterprise for finding the funding for the workshop and for the business volunteers for their time.
